AFSOC Software Programmer
Hurlburt Field - Florida

The Hoplite Group is seeking software programmer for AFSOC at Hurlburt Field, Florida. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The software programmer should be able to enhance learning though the development of Virtual Reality (VR) content development, including the creation of working simulations of aircraft control panels and other airframe systems. Software Programmers must be able to write and Integrate applications to enhance AFSOC flying training programs, establish priorities, identify training needs, and define expected outcomes before translating requirements into detailed technical specifications, determine the visual accuracy and functionality of modeled equipment, write instructions to guide end users in the use of software. Software Programmers must conduct tests of programs and software applications to ensure they produce desired outcomes, as well as revise or expand existing programs to incorporate new requirements, document project specifics for future reference, apply coding standards, principles, and best practices while designing, developing, modifying, and maintaining various databases.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Four (4) years of programming experience. Ability to read, document, modify, and create in various programming-based languages, apply and code using Object Oriented Programming (OOP) principles, research, develop, and apply latest technologies and software required. Programming experience in Visual Basic, VBA, SQL, HTML, C#, JSON, XML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, .Net, ASP.Net, ASPX, and MXML. Knowledge of Unity3D, Virtual Reality, Mobile App development, Adobe Creative Cloud Suites, and SharePoint. Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, Visual Studio Pro, Visio, SQLServer Mgt Studio, Snagit.

 

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience in the development of Software Requirements Specifications, Software Design Descriptions, and Software Test Plans. Knowledge of Virtual Reality, kinetic, kinematics, and user interface principles, and Mobile App development.

 

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

Must have at least a minimum of a Secret Clearance.

 

EDUCATION:

Minimum of a BS/BA or higher in related field of study.

 

OTHER:

Travel may be required, CONUS/OCONUS. 

Normal Duty Hours – Monday-Friday, 0730-1630.

Mission may require occasional extended shifts or weekend work.

Alternative Work Location/Telework may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
